Construction on US 98 from Brooks Street to East Edgewood Drive began in July 2011. This project is anticipated to be complete in fall 2012. To view a copy of the project fact sheet click here.
Project Scope: This project consists of widening the existing roadway from four to six lanes. Drainage, lighting and traffic signalization will also be improved. Bike lanes will be added to the roadway.
Will right of way need to be acquired? Property for new ponds has been acquired, and no further property acquisition is needed.
What happens next? The contractor is placing sod and working on the installation of new sidewalk and conducting signalization upgrades along US 98. Please click here for more detailed information.
