US 98 SEGMENT 1 - PRESS RELEASE

US 98 from SR 60 to South of Manor Drive


Effective Friday, April 27, the stretch of Wilson Avenue from State Road 60 (Van Fleet Drive) to Old Bartow/Eagle Lake Road will be closed to thru traffic from 9:30 pm to 5:30 am from Friday, April 27 to Monday, April 30 for concrete paving activities.  This work is being done on weekends when traffic is generally light to minimize inconvenience to motorists, businesses and the general public.

Effective January 30, the entrance to the Fort Fraser Trail fronting on westbound SR 60 (Van Fleet Drive) is scheduled to close for an indefinite period of time due to construction. Citizens who use the trail for walking, jogging and bicycling will be able to access it during the closure through a nearby entrance on the east side of Wilson Avenue, north of SR 60. Please click here for more detailed information as described in the attached press release and map on page 2.
