Throughout the week of Monday, May 14, 2012, during daytime hours, construction activities will continue within the project corridor to include the placement of sod, street lighting, signalization work, and miscellaneous activities. Construction work will also continue on the west side of US 98 from Manor Drive to north of CR 540A. There will be no impacts to traffic. Weather permitting, this work is anticipated for approximately two weeks. 


FORT FRASER TRAIL LANDSCAPING UPDATE:
As part of this project it was necessary to remove several oak trees and vegetation near the Fort Fraser Trail to widen US 98 to six lanes. However, FDOT staff is beginning the design and cost estimates required in order to provide additional landscaping near the trail. 

Details will be provided once the final landscaping design has been completed. The landscaping near the Fort Fraser Trail is not anticipated until sometime near the end of the project, which is expected to be complete in the fall of 2012.
